Therefore, at the centre of the drama that we include in this book, is the key teaching technique that is used, namely teacher in role (TiR). Many teachers see TiR as a difficult activity, especially with older children in primary school. However, it is his experience that when a teacher takes his role to be 'attractive' to children, so there is little control problem.
